2011 ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL (Turkey) reaches out to Shree Seti Devi Panchakanya Primary School in Baarhabise, Bhotekoshi Valley, Sindhupalchok. IICS students raise project funds to help build a new school building for Panchakanya to allow it to expand 3 grades to include grades 6, 7, and 8. IICS students also visit the school to teach sports, music, art, English, and math to 70+ students. They distribute 90 pair of children’s shoes for the community and provide a year’s worth of school supplies for Shree Seti Devi Panchakanya as well as Shree Boomachaur Primary School.



2012 ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL (Turkey) visits Shree Seti Devi Panchakanya Primary School with their high school students. IICS donates three desktop computers and engages the local telecom to run ADSL lines to the school. IICS funds the internet connection and provides webcams, which allow them to skype with Panchakanya students throughout the year. IICS provides sports, music, art resources and basic school supplies as well as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap for all the students providing them with health education. IICS grades 3 and 4 begin a penpal program with Panchakanya.


2013 ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL (IICS) (Turkey). IICS's Nepal project is awarded the ECIS Peter Ustinov Outreach Grant and the TIECare International Community Service Award to further expand the activities they are conducting. This allows the project coordinator, Jennifer Gokmen, and IICS Primary Teacher, Monique Sweep, to visit Shree Seti Devi Panchakanya Primary for Ms. Sweep to provide an Inquiry-Based Teacher Training for 25 teachers from 11 rural schools. The regional superintendant of schools joins the training and supports its further development.



ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL (IICS) (Turkey) visits a second time in 2013 with their high school students to conduct educational activities. IICS donates 3 laptop computers and their IT Manager, Erhan Toksoz, who has joined the trip, meets with the local internet service provider to discuss what is necessary to increase the school's bandwidth.
